Karen is a chemical engineer with extensive technical management, process safety and operational experience in the petrochemical and oil and gas industries. During this time, she has delivered risk reduction, asset improvement and cost-effective operations in dynamic high-hazard environments.

Karen has extensive experience in maintaining and updating site Safety Cases to meet the requirements of Major Hazard Facility (MHF) Regulations, as well as assisting with the resolutions of MHF compliance issues. She is also an experienced workshop facilitator involving various risk management methodologies, such as HAZOP, LOPA, SIL studies, Bow-Tie Analysis, FMEA, Alarm Review and Root Cause Analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical), RMIT University

  • Graduate Diploma – Frontline Management,

  • Chartered Member of Institution of Chemical Engineers.
