Elio Stocco
Director
Elio is a chemical engineer with over 25 years’ experience in operations and risk management. Elio has been a Director of R4Risk since 2011 and has extensive experience in the application of various risk assessment methods across a range of industries.
Elio’s areas of expertise include quantitative and qualitative risk assessments, HAZOPs, LOPA, Safety Assessment and Development of Safety Cases, occupied buildings risk assessments, emergency response planning, fire safety studies and consequence modelling. He has an intimate knowledge of Major Hazard Facilities regulatory regimes, having provided extensive MHF / Safety Case consulting services to major industrial companies. Elio is also a “Specialist Advisor” to Comcare, and has assisted in the assessment and classification of potential MHF sites.
Elio is an experienced auditor, having conducted Safety Case audits for MHFs in Australia-wide. Elio is also experienced and trained in incident investigation techniques. Earlier in his career, he worked with Huntsman Chemicals, Esso Australia, and Johnson Matthey in operational and process safety roles.
