Francisco is a Chemical Engineer with over 40 years’ experience in process design and risk management. During this time, he has worked in various technical and risk management roles. Francisco has extensive experience in the application of a range risk assessment methodologies in the petroleum refining, chemicals manufacturing and oil and gas processing industries for the assessment of existing facilities as well as new installations.
His main areas of expertise include quantitative / qualitative risk assessments, consequence modelling, layers of protection analysis (LOPA), Safety Case development of Major Hazard Facilities, process safety management audits, hazard identification (particularly HAZOPs), overpressure protection analysis, fire protection system design, emergency response planning and fire safety studies.
Francisco has prepared and delivered a number of successful training courses for risk and process safety management. He is also an experienced auditor, having conducted process safety management audits for facilities in Australia, the USA, Europe and the Far East.
